Terms of Use
Last updated: October 18, 2026
These Terms of Use apply to everything at tuberip.xyz, including the YouTube to MP3/MP4 converter and the Spotify to MP3 converter at tuberip.xyz/spotify (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1 Personal Use Only
TubeRip is provided exclusively for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use any file obtained through the Service for commercial purposes, public performance, broadcast, redistribution, file sharing, resale, or monetization of any kind without first obtaining the appropriate rights and licenses from the content owner.
2 Copyright & Your Responsibility
Music, videos, and recordings are protected by copyright. You may only use the Service to download content that falls into one of the following categories:
- Content you created, own, and hold the rights to
- Content for which you have explicit permission from the rights holder to download
- Content that is in the public domain or licensed under terms that explicitly permit downloading and copying (for example, certain Creative Commons licenses)
- Content you are otherwise legally permitted to copy under the laws of your country
Downloading copyrighted material without authorization may constitute copyright infringement under the laws of your jurisdiction, including the U.S. Copyright Act and Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Copyright Directive, and equivalent laws elsewhere. You alone are responsible for determining whether your use is lawful.
3 How the Spotify Converter Works
The Spotify converter does not download, record, decrypt, or otherwise access audio from Spotify. Specifically:
- TubeRip does not circumvent Spotify's encryption, digital rights management (DRM), or any other technical protection measure, and never connects to Spotify's audio streams.
- TubeRip does not ask for, store, or use your Spotify account, password, or login. No Spotify account is needed.
- TubeRip reads only publicly available track information (such as song title, artist, album name, track number, release year, length, and cover art) from public Spotify web pages, the same information anyone can see without logging in.
- That information is used to locate a matching recording that has been made publicly available on YouTube by a third party. The audio in every file comes from YouTube, not from Spotify.
TubeRip cannot verify who uploaded a given YouTube recording or whether they had the right to do so, and matches are found automatically. A file may occasionally contain a different recording or version than the one listed on Spotify.
Pasting a Spotify link into TubeRip does not give you any rights to the music it refers to. The copyright rules in Section 2 apply to every Spotify download in full.
4 Third-Party Platforms & Their Terms
YouTube and Spotify each have their own terms of service, which may restrict downloading content from or through their platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their terms, not ours, and you are responsible for complying with them. TubeRip is not responsible for any action YouTube, Spotify, or any other platform takes regarding your account or your use of their services.
5 No Endorsement of Infringement
TubeRip does not condone or encourage copyright infringement. The Service is a technical tool with lawful uses. TubeRip does not host, upload, sell, or distribute music or videos, and does not select or promote any particular content. Users choose what to convert and bear sole and full legal responsibility for ensuring their use complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
6 Copyright Complaints (DMCA Policy)
TubeRip respects the rights of copyright owners and responds to valid notices of alleged infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512, and similar laws.
If you own the copyright in a work and want TubeRip to stop converting it, send a written notice to our designated copyright agent containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed.
- The specific link(s) to the material, for example the YouTube video URL or the Spotify song, album, or playlist URL.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
On receiving a valid notice, TubeRip will promptly block the identified content so it can no longer be converted through the Service, including inside Spotify albums and playlists.
Counter-notices. If you believe content was blocked by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing your signature, identification of the blocked material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was blocked by mistake, and your name, address, and phone number together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which TubeRip may be found).
Repeat infringers. TubeRip will, in appropriate circumstances, permanently block access to the Service for users who are repeat infringers.
Please note that knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was blocked by mistake, may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
7 Usage Limits
To ensure fair access for all users, TubeRip enforces the following limits:
- Each user is limited to 15 conversions per 24-hour period. A Spotify album or playlist counts as one conversion.
- Spotify links are limited to 100 tracks each, and YouTube videos to 6 hours in length.
- Each user may have up to 3 conversions running or waiting at once.
- Reaching the daily limit pauses access until the 24-hour period resets, automatically.
- Circumventing these limits through proxies, VPNs, rotating IPs, or any other technical means is prohibited and may result in a permanent ban.
8 Prohibited Use of Automated Tools
The use of automated tools, bots, scripts, crawlers, or scrapers to access the Service in bulk is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in an immediate and permanent IP ban without notice. TubeRip reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for automated abuse of the Service.
9 Trademarks & No Affiliation
TubeRip is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Spotify AB, YouTube, Google LLC, or Alphabet Inc. in any way.
"Spotify" is a trademark of Spotify AB. "YouTube" is a trademark of Google LLC. These names are used on this site solely to describe which links the Service accepts, and all other trademarks, service marks, and logos are the property of their respective owners. TubeRip does not use any Spotify or YouTube logos.
10 Privacy
How we handle data, including IP addresses, submitted links, and temporary files, is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: no accounts, no tracking profiles, and converted files are deleted automatically within 30 minutes.
11 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.
12 No Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no guarantees regarding the availability, accuracy, reliability, speed, or quality of the Service, including the accuracy of Spotify track matching or metadata. The Service may be interrupted, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.
13 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TubeRip and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes, without limitation, data loss, legal penalties or claims arising from downloads you make, actions taken by third-party platforms against your accounts, and damages resulting from service interruptions.
14 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TubeRip and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, the content you choose to convert, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, including copyright owners.
15 Changes to These Terms
TubeRip may update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
