Spotify's own streams are encrypted, and TubeRip never accesses or decrypts them. TubeRip reads the publicly visible track details (title, artist, album, length), finds the matching publicly available recording on YouTube, and checks it against the song's exact length. Spotify's track details are then written into the file.
Yes. Every file is tagged with the title, artists, album, album artist, track number, disc number, release year, and cover art, so it shows up correctly in iTunes, Apple Music, Windows Media Player, VLC, phones, and car stereos. Album downloads are numbered in album order.
Choose MP3 at 320kbps (works everywhere), MP3 at 192kbps (smaller files), or M4A Original, which keeps the source audio exactly as it is with no re-encoding.
A single song usually takes 10–20 seconds. A full album takes a few minutes. You'll see live progress (for example "Downloading 4 of 12"), and the ZIP starts downloading automatically when it's done. Keep the page open until then.

TubeRip supports videos up to 6 hours long, including full albums, mixes, podcasts, and lectures. Long videos simply take longer; you'll see live progress while it works.
To keep the service available for all users, each user is limited to 15 conversions per 24 hours. If you exceed this limit, your IP address will be temporarily banned and access is automatically restored after 24 hours — no action needed on your end.
MP4 videos are downloaded at the best quality available from the source, up to 1080p. MP3 audio goes up to 320kbps. For the absolute best, pick Original: you get YouTube's own audio stream (usually Opus, ~160kbps) with no re-encoding at all. That's the highest quality that exists for a YouTube video. A higher-bitrate MP3 made from it would only be a bigger file, not better sound.
